If you remember, what people were saying at the previous "price cut" was NOT that there was no price cut. What people (at least reasonable people) were saying was that the PS3 as a console hadn't suffered a price cut, just a hardware upgrade. The 60 GB model, however, obviously suffered a price cut at that time.
This time, both the PS3 AND the PS3 60 GB European model suffered a price cut... So I don't think you'll see many people complaining. I certainly won't complain.
And to show that, at that time, it was a reasonable argument, you just have to imagine a series of measures by Sony in which they change the SKUs to 60GB/80GB, 80/100, 100/120 but never changing the prices (i.e. always 499/599) for example. Would you say that there were three price cuts there? It's just stupid. So stop crying wolf about people's reaction to that particular measure from Sony from a few months ago.
You can't criticize people for having common sense and for being able to use logic, unless you're the most rabid fanboy... in which case, as we all know, "the sky is the limit"...
