This shows that the demographic market is the same style and interest. The game is selling pretty much the same. It's also obvious that 360 along the same amount of time will just be a bit ahead of the Wii. Not bad for a console that sells to casual. It also proves that there is more of a core market on the Wii than the PS3. So why are we seeing the same level of polish and games on the PS3 when the Wii proves better sales. Oh wait I'm being very selective. |
You're probably right about that last bit... but the honest truth is that most engines that run games can be ported over to to the PS3 and maintain the same high level of detail. I think that with a good scaling engine a Wii to 360 or 360 to Wii port would be significantly easier. They both use the same base processor and the same company made their GPUs. The problem is that I don't think anyone has an engine like that (outside of the Source Engine... which is still my favorite engine). I would like to see more games get a port to the Wii. I think that the Wii could use a L4D or Orange Box... I mean they got it working on the Xbox and they are relatively in the same spectrum of power.
