I played and liked GT series. It's not the best though. Recent years have seen GT as not even a AAA title.

90+ Meta is pretty much what this site refers to as AAA game.

GT4 = 89 Meta.

GT HD Concept = 82 Meta.

GT5P = 80 Meta

So The series currently hasnt been AAA since GT3.

I like the games, but there is better on the market.

Forza 1 GT4's direct competition scored 92 Meta.

Forza 2 = 90 Meta.

I refuse to go with fanboy nonsense it's the be all end all racing game. Even Critics have called the last full game and last 2 half games below 9/10.

 

 

Regardless of any metacritic or review scores, GT is seen as the best racing game......period. Far more people will diagree with this post of yours than will agree. Its not 'fanboy nonsense'.........its the honest opinion of millions

 

yes but then opinion is not fact!! You both are trying to substitute fact with opinion. Just because millions of people think halo is the best shooter dosnt mean that its the best for everyone.

Yeah cheers man. I pretty much reacted the way I did because loads of people talk about GT as the be all end all. When thats probably the only sim they have played. Forza has half the sales of GT so at least 4-5 million people would vote for GT purley because they havent ever played Forza. Ask the 4-5illion people that have played both Forza and GT and I believe the result of answers would be basically the same as what the reviewers thought. In others words in line with Metacritic. People have to remember that Metacritic reviewers have played Forza 1, Forza 2, GTR 2 and GT4 and GT5P. So they are in a good place for an informed decision of average of opinions. Whereas most people who just come out and say GT is the best have a high percentage chance that GT is all they have ever played, and never even finished half of a Forza game or even played GTR2 for example.

The same applies to Halo. But Halo continues to get high 90's from Metacritic whereas GT doesnt. That surely shows that the reviewers broadened opinion has some measure with it. Even if like me you think reviewers have started to suck.
