I can't afford to replace multiple consoles, so backwards compatibility is a must. If sony drops it from all of their models before they hit my price range ($200 or bust), the chances of me getting a PS3 this generation are slim-to-none (while replacing my #2 PS2 will be a no-brainer).
Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.
