Newsflash!! Sony is dropping the entire BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY in the SCEE area ... read elnino's post. Europeans are being screwed.. again.
This will most likely happen world wide. And I'm also sure that recent PS3 owners with their future updates can kiss their BC farewell as well.
