I really like the improved animations, makes the game more fluid. I disliked the awkward animations that occur in Gears 1/2 and Uncharted 1 whereby you'll stand next to a wall and your character awkwardly attaches themselves to said wall, after the button press. It felt like it was "Think, move to being next to cover, think, attach self to cover" as opposed to "think and then do".

It may have just been that the player knew how drake would react and thus it looked more smooth than what a normal player will get, but in that scene on the street, the first bit of cover that Nate slides into looked awesome and real (the bit in the city streets where he slides from that cover then to behind the car, pops up and starts shooting and then doing that melee move)

Graphics look amazing, definitely an improvement over Uncharted, there's so much more going on on-screen. The use of random items as cover (tables etc) was seen in Gears 2 (and even then it wasn't the first game to do it). It's not particularly original but it's an excellent addition.

I think Uncharted 2 will be an amazing but unoriginal game (similar to KZ2, but more amazing). Don't get me wrong though, it's not necessarily a bad thing (I'd rather they do something similar to others than go out there and fail hard), but I think it may lose points with reviewers (and thus be a target for people who don't have their own opinion and use other peoples opinions in reviews and represent them as fact) for not innovating.
