It will go to either Alan Wake, Splinter Cell or Halo ODST.

Alan Wake is the only one of those with any chance of being GoTY.

Sorry, Sam Fisher on the run in broad daylight and a budget game starring minor characters from the Halo universe aren't exactly GoTY material.

Contenders for GoTY would be Uncharted 2, Alan Wake, Modern Warfare 2 and BioShock 2. And God of War III, if that releases in 2009.

 

 I agree with Kantor, Splinter Cell is not a series that is well known for having a chance to be GOTY. The games Kantor do have a chance to be GOTY
