personally i prefer halo 3 mostly because i haven't played killzone 2 and probably won't since i don't own a ps3 or know anyone who does that i am friends with. but in all honesty, i expect more people to say killzone 2 because for one it is a newer game and also because this is a site with more ps3 fans than 360 fans. i'll take gears of war over halo 3 any day but it isn't a bad game by any means and i'm sure killzone 2 isn't either. try both before buying one.
