Here is how helpful the internet is mirson. Next time, please don't start a dumb thread causing havok.

Solution:
Open the controller. Take out the trigger button and make sure the spring is correctly positioned. Then replace the trigger.

Places to get a new spring if the spring is actually broken.

1) Ebay sells broken sixaxis controllers for 1$, same on craigslist.
2) If you have a way to get some of those 3 1/2" floppy disks laying aroung you can rip them apart and take out the spring which is the same type. Simply cut the  "legs" shorter and slap em in the controller. You can also buy the disks online.

Alternative solutions:

Call Sony because your controllers are obviously within warranty and should have been your first stop, not the vgc forums to complain about it.

Go to a gamestop, buy a used controller, walk out, switcheroo, walk back in and return the switched controller.

Try a hardware store using the picture I have provided for you.

EDIT: When it says that your PS3 is dead (in your sig) how have you been using these controllers at all. I am starting to seriously doubt your credibility.
