I don't know how to understand this sentence. Are you saying that Super Mario World is/was as graphically impressive as the Donkey Kong Country games or FX-chip supported games which used polygons like Star Fox and Stunt Race FX?
No Super Mario World was IMO the best Snes game, like IMO Mario64 was by far the best game for the Nintendo 64. Both launch games, I bought both consoles but I was hoping later games would top the launch games.
With regard to graphics I think you are referring to art direction. For Donkey Kong Country Raytracing was used to design its graphics, that's mainly why the game looked flashy for its time. I also owned F-Zero at launch and later Star Fox, IMO Star Fox didn't push the Snes hardware much further.
