This is the reason I try not to enter these debates. Because more education is necessary before this kind of debate can take place. More time is spent trying to correct factual inaccuracies, and bring a person's education up to speed (usually against their will) just so that an actual debate can take place, and by that time they've already moved on to some other topic. I feel like there needs to be an entrance exam to these kinds of debates and unless you clear the bar you aren't allowed inside.
