this isn't really about denouncing God, but rather its more about how strong your core values are. Most everyone here is pretty much skirting the issue by making a joke of it or saying "well I don't believe in God anyways LOL"
If the OP was "if you could only save your wife or your child, who would you save?" most people would still skirt the issue by saying "I don't have a wife OR a kid, so I don't have to worry LOL"
