I don't know man. I've been gaming for 19 years now and lately I've realized that game getting AAA doesnt mean much when it comes to me and my tastes in gaming. Like Fallout 3, Fable 2, MGS4, Call of Duty WaW, Dead Space, Bioshock...I hated all of them. I did like Silent Hill HC, Sonic unleashed, Ninja Blade, Gears 2, Condemned 2 and Halo Wars very much out of the recent games I played. Gears 2 obviously got AAA but rest didnt have great reviews. Its like movies...sure those Oscar movies are great and all...but I honestly enjoyed Ironman more than I enjoyed Slumdog Millionare. |
Well I'm the exact opposite, lol. All of those games you named that you hated I loved with the exception of Fable 2 and WAW which were both ok, but not amazing. And I loved Gears 2 but thought those other games were mediocre at best that you named. I tried playing Sonic Unleashed for the trophies and couldn't bare but 20 minutes of it before I wanted to beat my brains in and I sent it back to gamefly without getting a single trophy. From what I played Ninja Blade was a less impressive Ninja Gaiden and I didn't really enjoy either of the Gaiden games too much although I beat them both. I used to be a HUGE SH fan, but the series has fallen out of my graces ever since 4. SH2 and 1 are still some of my favorite games of all time though. I wish they could make the series great again. As for Halo Wars, I couldn't even get myself through the demo. It's a combination of me not being a big RTS fan and my disinterest in the Halo series' story. No, I'm not saying that my opinion is fact or that you have to agree with them, but usually, AAA titles are the only ones I really love or enjoy. If I love or enjoy them I usually find most reviwers agree. Either way, AAA games are nothing but great for a console, and I really think they shouldn't put them so close together or they cut into sales of each other.
