That's what I think. They have the nVidia chip in it, so it may be able to emulate the Xbox gpu fairly well.

Nintendo had already established themselves quite well in the home console market before entering the handheld. Also, Nintendo has quite a strong first party line up, they can afford to spread that among two different consoles. Microsoft is relying heavily on third party support, just like Sony, and that means should they enter a new market then less games will be spread to their main console.
