It's a great game and awesome franchise.
You'd have to be a blind Sony fanboy to hate this game and like GT. I've played all the main series games from both series (I didn't play GT4 prologue and GT5 prologue) and I must say they both they a different view to racing. But to be honest, they're about as realistic/unrealistic as each other.
With Forza you have a tendency to make corners in game that would be impossible in real life, but in Gran Turismo it's the opposite, you tend to make less corners in game than you should be able to in real life.
If you like racing sims, it's a good game. But if you don't (I can see why they aren't fun to most people), then I'd just sell it. If you hate it because it's not like GT, then there's something wrong with you (because GT ain't exactly realistic either).
