A demo is not very good for a JRPG. The best thing about JRPGs is the story and the atmosphere - something a demo can't deliver.

If you really want to try a JRPG, you should just buy one. You might wanna give Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia or Star Ocean a try. I have Infinite Undiscovery and I did not like it that much. Save-points are far away. You died? Have fun with 45 minutes of doing the same stuff again, just to die again.

But be careful, you might actually love JRPGs... that could be quite expensive then.

I have faith the story can deliver, its the gameplay I'm worried about. I'm very picky with games so even if I developed a love of JRPG's I would probably only end up buying 3 :-d

Just use Gamefly and try them out before you make a decision or go rent them at Blockbuster first.

Double Post! sorry about that.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
