Can God make something so heavy he could not lift it?

So, you're asking if an unlimited being can limit themselves?

This question actually makes perfect sense.  While many people of faith just toss it aside as a pardox, if you really take it seriously, the answer has to be yes.

For a G-d to be omnipotent, he has to be able to do anything, including limiting himself PERMANENTLY.  Maybe this is what happened?

Anyway, in Kabbalah their concept of G-d is the Ayn Sof, which is a giant limitless light force that is so unlimited that it has no boundaries and there is nothing outside of it and nothing within it.  Everything is Ayn Sof.  So to actually create earth and humanity and such, it needs to uncreate a hole within itself, to have room to put all this new stuff.  The Ayn Sof created all 10 Sephiroth to be filters to limit its own power and existence, creating a giant hole.  In this hole is our universe.

At least, that's their take on it.

Me?  I BELIEVE IN NOTHING LEBOWSKY.
