Ineveitable yes butif this is true then did you really think it would arrive so early?

Sony needs a new look for the PS3, sales are not that great and a complete change can be great for the PS3. It's like a new start. The Japanese will love it.

I can imagine there trying to get the Slim out as quick as possible, I expected it sometime this year.

 

 

Maybe it just me but If I owned a 360 and was waiting for a PS3 price cut and saw this thing on the shelf for $299 I'm not sure I'd buy it - It looks like its been recycled and made very cheaply - I like the way my PS3 is. I realize that a new slimmer PS3 would be a great way for Sony to boost sales but they'd need to make it much more attractive than what is shown in those pictures - I'd much prefer something like this
