He would have been running things instead of the idiot Stolar. Of course suits in Japan thought their distant third place finish in in the domestic market meant they knew more than the guy that had narrow second place finish to Nintendo in North America. What's even sadder is that Sega of Japan did the worst job with the Mega Drive. The Mega Drive out sold the SNES in the PAL territories 10 million to 8 million. |
Now Tom was the man...taking sega from 8% marketshare in America to 65% in 1992-1993. While sega of japan made awesome games I always felt that sega of america was the heart of that company. With games like Vectorman, Ooze, Comix zone, Eternal Champions, Sonic 2...Yes sonic 2 I said. :)
