Also, I think there is like 1 scene in Radiant Dawn that you can't get to unless you pass on stats. Of course, you could beat Path of Radiance without maxing people out and still do this.

Are you refering to the Soren base conversation?  As this appears to be the only thing in RD that will require a data transfer, and it is a very intersting backstory conversation (although I just read it on the Serenesforest website because I have been unable to track down a Path of Radiance game here)
