The Rules
1. Metacritic scores at the end of the year
2. When i say excl as long as it is on only one of the home consoles only, ie Wii, 360, PS3 then it is excl
3. I am doing this because although infamous thinks that he hasnt seen it, he has quoted one of my posts with the rules.
4. Any PS3 games, not just the ones posted, i am almost going to guarantee at least one game will beat them.
5. Excl includes 09, If ps3 is going to get Halo ODST for example in 2010 but 360 in 09, then it is Exclusive for 360 for this year.

I wouldn't mind taking that.

Okay, one last thing. Are we counting XBLA/PSN?

EDIT: One rule I would request is no DLC. That means no Lost and Damned, no Pitt, no Broken Steel, no inevitable GTAIV PS3 expansion.

 

Fair enough, no dlc which means no xbla, in my opinion that hurts my cause, as the 360 will be getting perfect dark soon, hopefully this year but i am going to rely on proper games. The fairest way to do it i would think, you set the terms if you want, in other words what the bet will be for

Okay, sure.

1) If the total metascore of the top five PS3 exclusives is greater than that of the 360's top five, I (Kantor) win. If not, you (AussieGecko) win. If they are equal, it is a tie, and nobody wins.

2) "Exclusives" is defined as "a game not on any other 7th Gen home console. IE, a 360-Wii multiplat is not a 360 exclusive, but a 360- multiplat is. Similarly, MLB 09 (PS3, PSP, PS2) is a PS3 exclusive.

3) Any exclusives released from 1st January to 31st December 2009 will be counted.

4) Games must be exclusive everywhere. That means no FF13.

5) This is being judged, if not obvious already, using Metacritic.

6) Games must be proper retail disc games. ODST counts, Peggle does not.

7) A port of a game with some extra modes is not an exclusive. That means NG Sigma 2 does not count, and neither is MGS4+Oxide, in the 0.00000000000001% chance that it exists.

8) Winner changes loser's sig and avatar for a month. Sig and avatar must abide by forum rules.

9) The bet ends after all exclusive games on both platforms for 2009 have been released, or if both AussieGecko and Kantor agree to end the bet prematurely.

10) If the loser (or winner) is banned when the bet ends, the sig and avatar changing will commence after the ban has ended.

11) A link to this post (or a post containing the final bet) will be displayed in both member's profiles, and if they wish, their sigs.

I think that should cover it. Anything to add?

EDIT: I think we should make it top 5, actually. Gives more accurate results.?

Agreed with that, these are fair terms, just out of curiousity (and sheer laziness) does anyone know the top 5 of ps3 and 360 atm?
