If Wii loses to PS3, it will be Nintendo's fault for not fulfilling its goal of finding new audiences. So far, Wii is doing this quite well, but Nintendo will have to keep that up with more than just Wii Sports.
If Xbox 360 loses to PS3, it will either be through brute force and serious financial losses, or because Blu-ray suddenly takes off.
