Evolution. I'm from Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, The Netherlands.

I believe God was created by people for a reality that suits what they want. But it's not about what people want, it's about the truth.
I'd love it if there was a God, but that's not the point. People should face reality, which they are doing more and more.

Agreed agreed agree.   You seem logical.  Religion seems to be in a massive decline in Europe

EDIT- Christinaity

I would strongly disagree with him. Even though I am an atheist, I think life shouldn't always be about facing reality. It should be about living the way it makes you happy.

Not long ago a good friend of mine was on the edge of commiting suicide and thanks to the church and God she found a new meaning in life and is now a completly changed person. Now she enjoys every day of her life and is back on the right track again.

So if the church or believing in God can have such wonderful effects, I think it has every damn right in the world to be there.

I see what you mean but there are many ways to be happy in life. I dont need God. I dont no if God exists i dont care weather god exists as i will never know. People who are on the brink of suicide can find many ways to regain there life. Religion is just one of 10 million ways. Someone for example could see the evidence of science and they could be inspired to make a difference.  I completley understand your point though.
