MS indirectly profits from Blizzard PC sales. They made a pretty big deal with Blizzard to handle advertising over Battle.net.
The future of pc gaming is gonna be browser based along the lines of InstantAction's service or Quake Live. PopCap games and its ilk will also continue to help pc gaming grow.
