why should gamers be equally rewarded for playing Avatar: The Last Airbender for two minutes as they are for trekking through Oblivion for dozens upon dozens of hours?

i really dont understand this part...regardless of the system it would of had the same rewards as any other game.   if on playstation, avatar would of had the same amount of trophies as any other game...and equally retarded goals.

Beat me to it because I got to wordy... Yeah, the person writing the article expertly illustrated their complete ignorance of the topic.  They tried to be professional, but came off as a mewling fanboy.   Someone got ruffled because "Sony wasn't doing somethign as well as Microsoft", so they went off half-cocked and made an ass out of themselves with misinformation.

You'e right. They aren't doing it as well.. they're doing it better. Trophies > Achievements in my.. and aparently a great number of other peoples opinion.

And those people are affected in some way, since they are basing their opinion on mindless console cronyism, bias, and a complete ignorance to the topic.

It's sad, really...  Trophies = Achievements, just not as well executed or implemented.  As I said, Sony may get up to speed, but otherwise there has to be somethign wrong with you to support the argument in the OP.

lol that post contains major fail. First you call me out on being biased and then you proove you are the same. It's widely recognised that trophies are atleast as well, if not better executed than achievements.

To be juvenile for a moment: by "widely recognized", do you mean that you're overweight?  Because you seem to be the only one ascribing to this delusion.  I've got both systems, and I'm pretty sure only one game on my PS3 gives trophies, and I wouldn't even be able to tell you where to go to confirm that.  Why?  Poor implementation.

Hell, just the fact that the thing has been on the market 2 years before trophies started would be a pretty cut and dry indicator of the implementation quality.

You're blind fanboyism negates any purpose in attempting an actual logical discussion.  The fact that you care about whether or not your trophies are better than achievements negates the ability to consider you a rational individual.
