If you insist, friend. Go to leadwerks.com

Yeah, really reliable source there. I meant a news article by a news company, or a developer speaking in an official capacity for a major corporation, or basically anything Wikipedia would deem a reliable source. Some random site isn't.

and check through the support forums. The admin is the creator of the engine. He's run several benchmarks and has tried to get the AMD ATI drivers and hardware to play nice. There's quite a few developers using this engine, and they have to find workarounds to the AMD video card issue. You really shoudn't be so insisting on the issue unless you've checked every source, it just makes you look like one of those Sony Defense Force guys ;)

Part of the reason is that Nvidia pays off developers while they make their game to optimise for Nvidia hardware. The AMD driver team isn't given access to the code until after the game's release. AMD can't help what they don't have access to. There's plenty of stuff that AMD's done (DX10.1, hardware tesselator, Stream) but vendors refuse to adopt because of the dependence on Nvidia (they had no problem adopting CUDA and PhysX when Nvidia told them to).

As for heat issues, please have a look for reviews on anything from the x1600 onward, especially cards with 512 mb. If you need a source, try looking up some reviews on newegg.com, you'll find lots of heat issues for the AMD ATI cards.

X1600 is ancient. Actually it's before the AMD acquisition so doesn't count towards "AMD ruined them". Anything since 2007 has been fine. But Nvidia's recent chips have failed so much that Nvidia actually took a charge for it and did a replacement program. No heat issue of ATI's has been serious enough to do so.

Trust me, I'd like to not say such bad things about the cards, I used to be a huge ATI supporter.

And you're prepared to ignore the Nvidia issues? AMD is faster at every single price point it has a card for.

And finally, you've yet to accuse AMD's CPUs/motherboards of anything. Anything on that?
