I hate cosnpiracy theories, but I feel the same way in the depths of my gut. There seems to be absolutely no reason to make these games exclusive to Japan's PSN, especially when SE isn't doing so hot and with the world recession only getting worse. There's no need for localization, and they can make so much easy cash from re-selling an previously made game to an hungry audience.
I made a thread a few months ago asking what Square Enix's rationale is for not releasing a SINGLE game for the PS3 this generation. They've used 3 arguments, which is that they felt that they wanted to stimulate competition for helping the little guy at the beginning/before this generation (Xbox 360), they wanted to penetrate the Western market, and that they felt that multiplat games make more cash than they would if exclusive.
Those 3 arguments are either null, illogical, and not practiced today. The only thing I can really think up is that MS has something to do with this. If that does sound illogical and pure conspiracy, then tell me what other rationale SE has for not doing what a company should be doing: making money.
