There's a number of things they can do without being hurt, like making it 720p rather than 1080p. This would help with the pre-rendered cutscenes specially, which I assume there will be many.

The different dubs can also be available to download optionally. As most people do not care about that, but they can still make it available.

It's really not that hard, fortunately for Microsoft Square-Enix is REALLY over-serving and over shooting with FF XIII on PS3. They can cut down on a lot of stuff with little notice from the public.

I suspect they may choose to have the cutscenes in 720p on the 360 version anyway. 1080p takes up about twice the space, and I'm sure they will want to minimize the number of discs. Unless there aren't many pre-rendered scenes at all.

This will of course lead to hundreds of Sony fanboys deriding the 360 version of the game as "dumbed down", while the rest of the world happily plays the game largely without noticing any difference (save for those videophiles with huge TVs which support 1080p and are properly set up).

Nice try, but this is basically a FUD fest.

At this pace, by the time the thread reaches third page they'll be claiming FF13 360 will be in 2d 16bit graphics...
