no, SH2 is amazing, but it fails to be number 1 in 2 things:
1. fun, REmake is way more fun to play and replay continuosly
2. survival horror, for me the only game that has truly captured the escence of what survival horror is is clock tower on the snes, itis actually about survival and horror, not about shooting at a boss..
