Latest new just in:
Pocket-Lint is reporting that tomorrow (Friday 5th October) is a big day for the PS3. A new 40Gb "Core" PS3 will be announced and will come in at £299, the unit will be missing 2 usb ports, memory card reader as well as have no hardware PS2 compatibility, stating that it will operate similarly to the current UK 60Gb model...but the word "Core" similar to the Xbox 360 Core doesn't make me feel good about backwards compatibility.
Also, the 60Gb model will be reduced from £425 to £369 (although retailers are expected to sell it for £349). You will not get any games or extra controllers for that price though seeing as the Starter Pack is being phased out.
We may also expect to hear about the PES 2008 bundle pack as well....will it be the 40Gb pack or 60Gb pack and how much will it be? And what about the Starter Packs on release at the moment for as cheap as £399 (sometimes including an extra game)....these still look like good value? And will retailers be doing some deals as well? Free Blu-Ray discs or free game?
Prediction (June 12th 2017)
Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.
PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)
PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)
