What do we do about the peopel that are? Do you want to turn your "friends" in to the FBI if they are? You're not much of a friend if you do. Do you want to break into software development firms to make sure they aren't pirating? That's agaisnt the law, you know. What are you able to do that doesn't make you just as much of a criminal or just a plain asshole? Go ahead, lay it down. I'd love to know what you are doing personally to stop software piracy. Maybe you are providing the exact same service for free? That sure is an effective, if dangerous, proposition. Anything else? |
Sure three people stopping doesn't take much off a percentage, but if you can live with yourself knowing that you didn't do all that you could to stop something that you know is wrong, then you are just as bad as those that continue to do it.
Laugh and antagonize me and my idealist ways all you want, but life will look upon this better in the end. That's good enough for me... knowing that why I was here I at least tried to make the world a better place and not just sit back and accept it. At least I tried.
Ya see, I think you get the point. If there were more people like me... then there wouldn't be a problem. It's all about the ideologies... not even about the actions. With a world full of people committed to do what's right, there can be no existence of the apathetic and corrupt.
