I do not think there is anyone that doesn't hate having to pay for anything. Hate is a strong word. I would say it is a case of rather get something for nothing. Personally I have no great qualms about paying granted that I get my moneys worth from the service I am purchasing.
When I am upset it is usually a matter of not getting fair value, or being manipulated out of my money. Thus for me it is probably more the principle. Honestly I think you will find for the vast majority it is the principle, because if it is just the cost then it seems to be more a case of greed. Such as I am too selfish to spend that money.
Your probably just going to get a lot of principled respondents. For example I do not want to spend ten dollars on the new Halo map pack. I do not want to incur that cost, but I also feel there is a principle. Why should I pay for a map pack when I only play large map modes. I do not want to pay for things I will not use. I think it is both the principle and the cost. Were I to get a lower price or more maps I could be consoled either way.
All opinions are likely to be the same combination of motives. Which means that the person will just present the aspect that makes them look better to others.
