Yes, lots of racing games have it yes, there aren't many driving simulators out there which is what Gran Turismo is. To your, "hope it delivers" comment, when has Gran Turismo not delivered?

OT: Good news, add more to an already MONSTER franchise. The industry continues forward, I like!!!

 

This is kind of a silly argument.  If it were a driving simulator it would be used to teach people how to drive in a controlled environment, like a flight, ship, trucking, etc. simulator.  It would involve driving on city streets while maintaining speed limits and obeying traffic laws.  Gran Turismo is a racing game that leans on trying to be a realistic racing simulator which so far it has done quite well, but definetely not as well as it could (which is why everyone wants the enhancements being discussed here).

 

professional drivers where put in a race againt GT pros using wheels and guess who won??? the real drivers, that sais a lot about GT
