I read in some other article that the fine can legally go up to 10% of Intel's annual revenue. Intel's revenue in the last fiscal year was $37.6 billion, so the fine could go up to $3.8 billion.

How much road can one build with that money? :P

 

A hell of a lot I would imagine.

$3.8 billion would make up about 3% of the EU budget for the year.

The money could be used on virtually anything.

The EU funds research on volcanoes at my university for example.

 

True, but before the anti-EU drones show up let me just clarify that the EU budget Dallinor is referring to is not the budgets of EU countries combined, it's just the budget for the EU-specific activities themselves ;)
