There are two questions here.
The first is whether or not Sony will be supporting the PS3 at retail in 2012. My guess on that one would be yes. Sony has generally supported two consoles simultaneously. So even if the PS4 is out, the PS3 will still be around in some form. This would especially be the case if a slim-line version could be created.
The second is whether or not retailers will still have the PS3. My guess is also yes -- so long as the first is true. If Sony wants to be out there, it will continue to provide the support to retailers to carry the product. So long as there is used software to sell, Gamestop will have a small section for it.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
