The first place console always lasts well into the next generation of consoles. 2nd place, 3rd place, and the rest never do. It happened with the Atari 2600, NES, SNES, PS1, and PS2. Everything else faded away much faster.

has anybody realized that SONY has crushed alot of traditional belief of last place consoles???, has anybody realized that this gen itself broke alot of traditions, we cant let the past tell the future, hence why SONY is in this situation |
I feel that Sony is at a Fork in the Road due to the Sales of this Gen....The Wii is basically a Naomi Board...(LOL) and has dominated this far...The trouble Sony might run into is A NextBox with Major 3rd party support...If a NextBox launches first with higher capabilities than the PS3 and Major 3rd Party support Sony would almost certanly have to clip PS3 software support and bring the PS4......Ofcourse only time will tell...But if the plan on sticking to their 10 year plan it can turn into the situation where the NextBox gets games PS3 wont.....just saying..And Nevermind What Nintendo might do next.....

Yep I can see that Happening...And Acording to MS they Plan on doing the Same.....Or they are atleast trying to pull a good bluff...If rumors are true..Like the one about the PS4 luanching first than any other..Sony will be doing itself damage...Sure the PS3 will have awesome capabilities..but Will Third Parties want to make the Same game for NextBox,PS4 and PS3(And If the 360 is still being produced aswell) I don't think so...
