Why don't the console makers listen to Sun Tzu?

Did Sun ever explain what to do if two totally separate wars were taking place at the same time? Nintendo isn't fighting the same war as Sony/MS.

Nintendo is battling against TV/books/cinema/hobbies whilst Sony/MS are fighting over the old battleground.

Imagine how many exclusives Nintendo could secure with all the profit they've made or how low in price they could go using Sony/MS strategy. Sony/MS are still fighting a land battle whilst Nintendo is on land, sea, air and space.
