Eh? I bought my last PC about 18 months ago. I need a decent one as I develop websites and databases. Like I said, to make it games-worthy, I had to spend about £150 extra on a decent graphics card, for a total cost of around £750.

Every multi-platform game I've bought in the last 18 months and will buy over the next 3 years or so will save me £10-15. I fully expect to have recouped the cost of the graphics card by the time I come to buy a new PC.

If I'd have bought a console, it would still have cost me £600 for the PC, plus the price of the console, plus £10-15 more per game, plus the cost of an HDTV if I wanted to get the most out of it. For me, PC gaming works out a lot cheaper, I get a better choice of the games I like best and I can still run all the games I've bought before. Your mileage may vary of course.
