I guess I'll black out my comments, just in case I potentially spoil stuff.
I thought it was cool that they pretty much nerfed everything, yet keeping some continuity with the old spock coming back. They also had some homages to the old series, which I liked too.
I like how Future Spock pretty much nerfed the whole "meeting my future self will create a paradox and destroy the universe" plot line; that sort of made me lol.
I say well done, and I hope most of the actors will reprise their role in any sequels that are produced.
The current star trek universe was getting too convoluted and stupid IMO, a reset at this time was needed.
