For media playback and most of the games you want a PS3 would come recommended, for games piracy a PC, a 360 for Pacman (or get Deluxe Pocmon for the PC). Depends what matters more to you.

In other words, MikeB wants you to buy a PS3 and wants to make the PC/360 look like crap because it benefits him personally.  More PS3 owners = bigger chance of profit for him.

The Xbox 360 has just as much media capabilities, especially with Windows Media Center and Netflix.  Games will be nearly the same on either system.  The ones you want are perfect for the 360 and you can't beat the lower price of entry to play those same games.

Yet the OP only mentions the OS X and living in taiwan, which eliminates both Windows media center and Netflix.

Netflix, yes, but he could always have another PC or Windows installed on his Mac.

Id say the only advantage really would be the controller on the PS3 for fighting games and built in wireless, but at the same time if he got the cheaper 360 he could grab wireless and an arcade fighting controller

No no no!!! I hate using wireless for gaming, even my PS3 uses an ethernet cable instead of wifi, much smoother and less hassle than using wifi,

Ethernet = less packet loss = less lag = better online gaming!
