Legend11 threw a fit when I said Halo was a mindless shooter and now other people say it and nobody seems to have a problem. /sigh Whatever.
The point is that mindless shooter does not equate to bad. Its just a different style. The campaign mode probably doesn't qualify as mindless but the multiplayer most certainly does. And since everyone points to the multiplayer as the primary gameplay mode...well I'm sure you get it.
Also, I have to say his line about "Any game that has to make excuses for itself was never a perfect 10 to begin with" is dead on. And it doesn't just apply to Halo 3 , it applies to a LOT of games that have received 10s recently.
Anyways, my overall take on the review is that its a good review IF you are from the perspective of not too interested in Multiplayer and either haven't played or don't remember the story from the first two games. If you are Halo Hyped and love multiplayer the review is not written for your viewpoint and really doesn't apply to you. Thats my take on it anyways.
