Sorry but the 360 does have a more powerful GPU

The RSX is more powerful if you look at the amount of shader ops it can perform and like I said the Xenos is more flexible. The SPEs can do both vertex and pixel shader related operations, considering the RSX still is a shading powerhouse I guess in future games SPEs will be used more for shading related work in addition to other uses when required.

Of course the PS3 is more than the summ of its parts. For more in depth, discussion I refer you this thread:

@ sieanr

I am done discussing with you, you have often resorted to cheapshots, all this while you clearly often don't know what you are talking about. For example posting a diagram comparing system bandwidth between both systems, one of which strangely including the Xenos' internal bandwidth (while of course exluding the Cell's internal bandwidth). It didn't matter how wrong you were, I always try to handle any piece of misperception with respect and patience. While most often you seemingly aren't able to so, even when you're talking about things you simply don't understand.

And no, I am not obsessed by Halo 3 at all, just thought it was interesting from a technical perspective as I have been comparing both platforms.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."
