To enjoy Halo 3 you don't just need to like multiplayer: you need a crew of people to play with. For some reason, the Halo franchise tends to attract the most foul mouthed, annoying people ever. I didn't enjoy the company of stupid teens and fratboys 10 years ago: I have less interest to play with them now.
Pretty much any other online game in Live has a better community.
