PS3 - better for downloaded movies (more support)
- no region locking for games so no need to mod
- Blu-ray
- since no mod chip required no problems with multiplayer with modded xbox you can't play multiplayer

Wrong! you can play online perfectly fine with a modded 360, (read my post at the top of this page),

And you don't "chip" the 360 you flash the dvd drive, very different......

I would give the edge to the PS3 for media capabilities and the 360 for actual gaming so depends on what your going to mainly do with it, but remember the 360 acts as a "media extender" so will only stream music, video, pictures from your pc, it won't actually store the content on it's hard drive, so although the 360 has some superb media features I would still give the media side of things to the ps3 as you can actually store content on its hard drive, I only use my 360 for streaming so don't need to use any of the ps3's media functions,

For gaming the 360 wins easily, better exclusives, better and much larger choice of games, xbox live (costs £2.70 a month if you shop around for a good deal), more split screen and co-op games, better pricing (in the uk retail 360 games are £5-£10 cheaper than ps3 games), better warranty on the 360 should anything go wrong, list goes on and on and on,
