Sony's E3 Game List.

 Probably the biggest thing against PS3...  they playe dall their cards already.  Despite that great line-up, I can't help but think their presentation will look inferior to their competitors (again), simply because it's "old news".

Hopefully they've got some great surprises, otherwise it will be a whole lot of bad PR again.

 

At last year's E3 they announced God of War 3 and MAG. I don't think MS or Nintendo announced any new games of that calibre, I remember Lips, Scene It 2 and Wii Music, that was it. Unless I'm forgetting something. So I don't see how their conference was inferior to the competition. Sony will have new games to show at E3, guaranteed.

Missing the point, guys...  What was the perception put forward to the general public by the gaming media last year?

Sony's show was seen as a failure, Wii's was seen as an elitist shrug off of the hardcore fan, and 360's as a bizarre shift in demographic steering.

Sony was the only one to really announce anything, but 90% of it was already known, and then they had the 3 second teaser for GoWIII, which was poo pooed for being "a forgone conclusion".

This year, they have a bunch of stuff, but some of it is years old now.  What do you think people will be talking about after the show?

"Did you see the new footage for the games that weren't new last E3?!?"

Or

"HOLY CRAP!!  Something new that I probably won't buy, but it's new!!"

It's all about marketing, and Sony has been horrible with it this generation.  If Sony hadn't said a word about any of those games, and then showed them all for the first time at E3, it would be heralded as the second coming.  Now, it will be "a bunch of stuff from last year; the expected tech demo of blah; such-and-such was playable (if you waited in line the whole show)".
