Probably the wrong place for this analysis... but Madden sales are still down considerably on last year. Which is even worse when you consider the two new platforms (PS3/Wii) supported:

360 --> 127% (up 27% on last year)
PS2 --> 45% (down 55% on last year)

2006 (approx) total (7 weeks): 3,559

2007 (approx) total (7 weeks): 2,707

Sales currently at 76% (approx) of '06 sales - a drop of 24% on last years sales. With the new platforms, dev costs are probably up 20%-30% as well.
