OICs having the ability to issue objectives to platoon leaders actually sounds really cool. It's up to a good OIC to issue the right strategic orders for platoon leaders that will lead the entire force to victory.
It's more than just calling in an artillery strike here or there. You're actually changing the tide of battle. And of course, it's up to platoons to carry out their objectives well.
I'm really liking the sound of this now.
