Pyro as Bill said:
This isn't another argument about the definition of hardcore so before I start I'll clarify my definition of (hard)core. I don't mean TBAG games (Tits, Blood And Gore), my definition is pretty much the same as Nintendo's ie core games, Mario, Zelda, Metroid etc. I'm not including Wii Sports or Wii Fit or any other "casual" games that sold millions, I'm only going to include the top 10 games that people knew about and played before the Wii came along, the non-expanded audience if you will.
For 360 and PS3 I'll just use the top 10 sellers instead of taking out any "casual" games.

Since when are those hardcore? Brawl, Mario Kart, and SMG are mainstream casual games like GTA, Madden, and CoD. The rest are just casual titles. (2 party games, a sports game, and a sims rip off)

First, since when wasn't CoD core? Just because a game is embraced by the mainstream & casual doesn't mean that it doesn't have very hardcore elements to it.
Second, due to that, the rest of your argument is null as well. And by what you're saying, it doesn't sound like you've even played most of those titles.
