Not only that, but are you really going to try and say that Nintendo got outsold in games in the 3 days since he made the OP? That did not happen, his math was wrong.

The "Wii ______" games are bundled. And they are the only two bundled, but they are pretty much bundled with every controller or system. That results in a huge disproportionate number. Sure PS3 and XBOX have had bundles too, but only a few hundred thousand-~1million at most.

I'm not sure how your final point has any relevance to either point, maybe it is unclear?

EDIT: the numbers did adjust since he posted, and sure enough it was outsold in the games department, interesting to say the least.

EDIT2: also, my point was also to contest his goal posts. If you are going to compare nintendo core, you should compare the HD console's core.

Actually, I was trying to say that you had a valid point with your analysis and that it would make an interesting separate thread.  I also felt that you two were arguing past each other -- hence the comment that the information you were listing did not apply.

And you are right about the OP setting conditions on the original comparison. But you probably realize that if someone made a thread about Nintendo that was not favorbale toward the Wii that they would be accused of "moving the goal posts"-- especially if such restrictions were more limiting for Nintendo than for the PS3 or Xbox 360.

The difficulty in comparing core Nintendo vs. core other systems. For example Mario Party is core franchise for the Wii (eight installments over three consoles plus handheld versions) but it would be considered casual (as it is) on the PS3 or Xbox 360.
