It wouldn't suit a wall mounted slim tv. It'd make it fatter, hotter, it'd need a fan. You'd have to reach up to your tv to slot the Blu-Rays in. How would you charge your controllers without long cables trailing from your tv? Swapping out your HDD would be even more hell than it is now.
It'd cost sony alot of money to design a feasible TV/PS3 hybrid, when it'd be much saner following the current plan.
